Galicia in a bottle
The story of Galicia’s very own gin, Nordés, began with a group of friends chatting over dinner and enjoying octopus. One a renowned sommelier and winner of Nariz de Oro (Golden Nose) 2004, another a Galician wine merchant and another a master distiller. The three friends began to dream of a unique gin using Galician ingredients. So, they got to work and after much trial and error, they came across the perfect recipe that captures the essence of Galicia and is what we now know as Nordés Gin.
An iconic bottle
Its iconic white bottle, inspired by the traditional porcelain made by Sargadelos in Galicia, is truly unique thanks to distinctive blue and white design.
Its name also comes from the wind that heralds the arrival of good weather in Galicia.

The albariño grape, native to Galicia, makes Nordés an exceptionally easy-to-drink gin. The fruity notes and smooth aroma of the grapes combine with a selection of carefully macerated botanicals to create an unparalleled gin. The result is a perfect fusion of Galician and world flavours.
A unique flavour
The botanicals used in Nordés are sage, bay leaf, lemon verbena, eucalyptus, peppermint, glasswort, ginger, cardamom, hibiscus, black tea and, of course, juniper. The exact amount of each one is added to achieve the subtle and well-balanced notes which give it its distinctive aroma.
