The secret: its base spirit
One of the secrets of Nordés lies in the albariño grape, which is used for its base spirit. This gives it a smooth aroma with notes of fruit and white flowers, the result being a pleasant and easy-to-drink gin.
Fresh, natural botanicals
Nordés is made using 11 individually macerated botanicals, 6 of which grow wild in Galicia, namely sage, bay leaf, lemon verbena, eucalyptus, peppermint and glasswort, a plant found in coastal regions, which create its distinctive balsamic aroma.
5 botanicals sourced overseas are also used, these being juniper, ginger, cardamom, hibiscus and black tea, which give Nordés subtle notes and a well-balanced flavour.
A slow and careful process
The botanicals are macerated separately before distillation, each requiring a different amount of time based on the exact aroma desired, from a few hours to almost a month in certain cases. The result is an extremely well-balanced base spirit.
This slow and very careful process makes Nordés a truly unparalleled gin.
The first premium Galician gin
From the very beginning, Nordés has celebrated the very best Galicia has to offer in an iconic bottle based on the traditional porcelain products made in Sargadelos.
A refreshing and aromatic gin
Nordés has a flavour which is hard to describe yet easy to recognise. Because once you’ve tried it, its freshness and herbal aroma, which make it unlike any other gin, will stay with you forever.
