It is said that the Celts performed a ritual, “the ritual of the Queimada“, which sought to purify their bodies and save their souls. While creating the mixture they believed they would scare away the bad spirits and attract the good ones…
In tribute to our ancestors and in keeping with our land’s tradition, we are teaming up with the Basque Culinary Center to bring you our recipe for a “Cold Queimada with a Nordés twist.” A real treat that is sure to take centre stage on any occasion. Better save this one!
- Add 50ml of Nordés Gin
- 25 ml of Lemon Juice
- 25 ml of Ginger Syrup
- Shake well
- Add 80 ml of Albariño White Wine
- Garnish with 4 coffee beans
- A sprig or two of Salicornia
- Finish it off with a flambéed lemon peel
