Celebrate this Christmas with Nordés punch

Christmas is here and today we are bringing you a new idea straight from the Basque Culinary Center to surprise all your guests, with the always aromatic and refreshing taste of Nordés.

Christmas punch originated in India and its name in Hindi is pãc. This word means “five” and refers to the number of ingredients used in the original punch recipe.

At Nordés, we have brought this traditional recipe to the Atlantic Shores of Galicia and we present you with a Galician-style punch with ginger, lime, and fresh botanicals. And of course, we can’t forget the essential Nordés twist.

Here are the ingredients and the steps. Do you have your mortar and pestle at the ready?

  • 120ml of Nordés Gin
  • 5ml of Lime Juice
  • 7 Sage Leaves
  • 3 Slices of Ginger
  • 7 Fresh Fennel Leaves
  • 4 White Grapes
  • 7 Mint Leaves
  • 350ml of steeped White Tea

  • Add the Nordés gin
  • Add the lime juice
  • Mix in the sage leaves, ginger slices, and fennel leaves
  • Add in the white grapes and mint leaves
  • Muddle with a mortar
  • Pour in the steeped tea
  • Chill the mixture for 2 hours
  • Garnish with a sage leaf
